You've Been Invited to my Boudoir!
Kick off those shoes, get comfortable, and let's get to know each other. :)
Why, hello! I'm VirtualPerversion but you may call me whatever you'd like! I'm an artist who's been creating ever since I've gained sentience. I'm a 20-year-old female who resides in the Midwestern United States. I haven't traveled very far outside of Michigan, however, I absolutely ADORE exploring Michigan. Our nature here is absolutely breathtaking and I can't wait to share pictures of the gorgeous gifts that our universe bestowed upon us! I do, however, plan to travel the world in the future. Hopefully, the United States first. Luckily my boyfriend has traveled to 38 out of 50 states and was born on the West Coast so he's super willing to travel with me and show me around! We both hope to move out of the United States in the future and are beginning the process of getting our passports. I'll be sharing photos of my travels in the photography section of My Studio!!
I'm a huge fan of fashion history, as well as history in general. I've always absolutely loved learning and continue to learn more! It's so crazy how history is so expansive yet there's such a huge portions that we don't even know about!(Yet) My favorite eras of focus are definitely the Victorian Era (I've honestly been obsessed with the Victorian Era since I was in the 5th grade and my love and passion for learning more about this era have never ceased to exist.), the 1900's, 10's, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s. All of these decades fascinate me in their own little ways and I've always done something I've never been sure what to call other than "time-traveling". (Obviously this isn't real time traveling, however I have no other ways to put it so if you do the same thing let me know what you call it!) Anyways, I like to immerse myself in practices that happen in any decade, or even mix some. When I'm feeling specific, for example, the 90's internet since we're here: I like to lock my smart phone away and play for hours using old hardware, software, websites, and more! In my personal life, I enjoy bringing together portions of fashion history into my own wardrobe as well as beauty routines. Depending on how I'm feeling, my hair will sometimes be in a huge, teased up beehive, victory rolls, crimped up and teased all fun and crazy, and my personal favorite, the huge teased hair with flipped ends. These are only a couple of my favorites, I love exploring new roller patterns and styles to use my hair to it's full potential. Unfortunately, I have to tone down the hair a bit for work due to the fact that I work as a barista and cannot risk getting hair into my customers food. I tend to still tease my hair huge (I will not be caught dead with flat hair.), put it up into pigtails, style it a bit more and tie my bangs back using a black kerchief. My wardrobe includes many pieces from many decades (mainly 60s-90s), from hand-me-downs, antiquing, thrifting, as well as gifts from friends & family. I adore getting cheap, falling apart old pieces from secondhand stores, repairing them, and giving them new life but also giving them my own original spin. Altering clothes is extremely fun and I'm so grateful that my grandmother taught me to sew from a young age because now I have a killer and unique wardrobe! My pieces of clothing are definitely original in their own right, however, my color scheming is not very original or unique. The majority of my clothing, besides some statement pieces are all black. Which certainly makes it easy to pair most of my clothing together, although I have trouble picking clothes in the dark. The least expansive part of my routine is certainly my makeup. I have done tons of practice with the makeup from many decades, however, I'm most comfortable in a black smoky eye, shaved off penciled in eyebrows, pale white foundation, powder, and bold lipstick. (usually Revlon cherries in the snow crème, Revlon black cherry crème, or Revlon va-va violet crème)
I LOVE music!!! I genuinely believe that for me, a life without music is not a life worth living. I adore music and can grove to almost all genres spanning from the 1800's-2010's.
